Cambodia’s 9-Month Trade with RCEP Members Rises 21.3 Percent

Cambodia’s trade with member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) reached US$35.79 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 21.3 percent year on year, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce released on Friday.
The report said Cambodia’s exports to RCEP members totalled US$8.03 billion from January to September, an increase of 8.11 percent from US$7.43 billion in the same period last year.
The exports accounted for 29.25 percent of the Kingdom’s total exports of US$27.46 billion.
Meanwhile, Cambodia imported US$27.75 billion worth of goods from RCEP members, up 25 percent from US$19.73 billion in the first nine months of 2025.
The RCEP agreement, which entered into force on Jan. 1, 2022, brings together 15 Asia-Pacific economies. The Ministry of Commerce has encouraged the private sector to make greater use of the agreement and other free trade agreements to expand market access.
Cambodia’s trade with the European Union also increased during the period, rising 14.15 percent to US$5.02 billion, the report added.
Exports to the EU reached US$4.28 billion, up 14.2 percent, while imports rose 13.8 percent to US$745 million.
