Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and lawmaker representing Battambang province, presided over a recognition ceremony on Sept. 27 to award motorcycles to 90 high school graduates who achieved Grade A standing in the 2025-2026 academic year.

During the ceremony, held at the Sangke Theatre in Battambang city, H.E. Sok Lou, Governor of Battambang province, reported that the high school national examinations held on Aug. 10 across the province proceeded smoothly, with the majority of candidates successfully passing the examinations.

The 90 Grade A top scorers were drawn from 27 educational institutions across 12 city and districts – a20 public schools and 7 private institutions.

On the occasion, Samdech Sar Kheng offered his congratulations to the top-ranking students and their families. He also extended words of encouragement to candidates who did not pass, urging them not to be disheartened, to re-engage in their studies to succeed in upcoming exams, or to pursue technical and vocational training pathways to build sustainable careers.

Samdech Krolahom Sar Kheng conveyed warm greetings and personal best wishes from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King and President of the Senate, to provincial authorities, educational personnel, school principals, teachers, students, and parents.

He highlighted that under the 7th-mandate Royal Government of Cambodia's "Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1," human capital development remains the top national priority. The initiative focuses on modernising education, science, and technology to cultivate 21st-century skills aligned with national economic development demands.

Addressing the graduates, Samdech Sar Kheng urged them to commit to lifelong learning, maintain diligence as they transition to higher education, and avoid high-risk social behaviors, illicit drugs, and negative influences. He cautioned high achievers against complacency, emphasising that academic excellence requires continuous effort throughout life, and called on the youth to maintain civic responsibility, safeguard national peace, and refrain from participating in unauthorised political movements.
