AKP Phnom Penh, August 14, 2026 --​ Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, has extended congratulations to his Pakistani counterpart H.E. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In his message dated Aug. 13, Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote that on behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on his own behalf, he has the great pleasure to extend his warmest congratulations and best wishes to H.E. Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Senate, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

He also expressed his high appreciation for the longstanding bonds of friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Pakistan, particularly between the legislative institutions of the two countries.

Moreover, Samdech Techo reaffirmed his readiness to continue working more closely with his Pakistani counterpart to further strengthen the friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two Parliaments, especially the Senates, peoples, and countries.
