Cambodian Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra has urged the National Television of Cambodia (TVK) and Cambodia Digital TV Co., Ltd. (CDTV) to deepen their collaborative efforts, with a particular focus on co-producing joint programmes designed to enhance mutual understanding of the culture, traditions, and social landscapes between Cambodia and China.

The Minister made the remarks on Wednesday afternoon during a farewell meeting with Mr. Huang Jiang, Director General of CDTV, at the Ministry of Information. Mr. Huang is set to conclude his tenure in Cambodia and will return to China in the near future.

During the meeting, Mr. Huang briefed H.E. Neth Pheaktra on CDTV’s operational progress and developmental achievements during its time in Cambodia. He also expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Information and the General Department of TVK for their consistent support, coordination, and fruitful cooperation with CDTV over the past years.

In response, H.E. Neth Pheaktra commended and thanked Mr. Huang for his contribution to strengthening ties and cooperation between Cambodia’s information and broadcasting agencies and their Chinese counterparts during his tenure.

The Minister emphasised that the past cooperation between TVK and CDTV has yielded positive outcomes, laying a solid foundation for further reinforcing bilateral relations and future collaboration. He stressed that Mr. Huang’s transfer of duties does not mark the end of their ties but rather presents an opportunity to bolster existing friendships and cooperation with greater resilience and efficiency.

The Minister further expressed confidence that the strong rapport established over time will continue to drive forward new collaborative initiatives and more innovative, extensive co-production projects. H.E. Neth Pheaktra voiced his hope that the Ministry of Information will persist in facilitating ties and cooperation between the two entities, thereby contributing to the enhancement of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Cambodia and China.
