Cambodia Extends Congratulations to Timor-Leste on 24th Anniversary of the National Day

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. José Manuel Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, on the occasion of the 24th Anniversary of the National Day of Timor-Leste.
“On behalf of the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, may I take this opportunity to extend my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency, the Government, and the friendly people of your country on the auspicious occasion of the 24th Anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste,” Samdech Techo wrote in his message dated May 20.
As Timor-Leste commemorates this meaningful event, its remarkable journey and achievements remain a source of inspiration, driven by the strength and resilience of its hardworking people as well as its leaders, he underlined.
Samdech Techo also expressed his confidence that under H.E. José Manuel Ramos-Horta’s wise stewardship, Timor-Leste will certainly continue to develop and prosper, an ideal to which Cambodia as Timor-Leste's longstanding friend and committed partner attaches great importance.
“Building on Timor-Leste's recent accession to ASEAN, it is now more important than ever that we continue to work together in advancing our shared vision of peace and prosperity in this new and evolving global landscape,” he added.
The Cambodian Acting Head of State concluded his message with a commitment to continuing to collaborate with H.E. José Manuel Ramos-Horta to further advance the mutual interests of the two nations, and with best wishes of happiness, good health, and great success to him as well as the wellbeing and prosperity of his people.
