Nearly 90 percent of Drug Cases Resolved in 2024

A total of 22,022 new and old drug cases, which is 89.34 percent of the total cases filed, were resolved in 2024.
The figures were revealed by H.E. Seng Dina, Spokesperson and Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice, in a recent press conference in Phnom Penh.
H.E. Seng Dina underlined that hearing of the cases at all levels across Cambodia strictly adhered to the principle of transparency.
The hard work, he added, aimed to strengthen social security, enhance the effectiveness and transparency of Cambodia's law enforcement, and promote public trust in law-enforcement institutions.
The secretary of state called on all citizens to stay away from drugs and activities harmful to families and society and encouraged the public, media, and pertinent institutions to join hands in addressing illicit drug cases and crimes.
