AKP Phnom Penh, August 14, 2026 -- Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan.

“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations and felicitations to you, your colleagues, and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the historic commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Independence Day on 14 August 2026,” she wrote in her message dated Aug. 13.

Samdech Khuon Sudary added that the friendship and good cooperation between both countries have grown from strength to strength over the years, built on mutual respect, mutual understanding, mutual trust and mutual interests.

“I am confident that the existing ties between our two nations, in particular between our two legislatures, will be further deepened in the years ahead for the mutual benefits of our two peoples,” she said.

Samdech Khuon Sudary concluded her message by reaffirming Cambodia’s commitment to enhance a rules-based international order and an open and inclusive multilateralism for lasting peace and prosperity.
