Cambodia to Host China Street Art Festival as it Pushes Visa-Free Tourism
AKP Phnom Penh, March 17, 2026 -- Cambodia will host a two-day street art performance in Siem Reap province this weekend, featuring artists from both the Kingdom and China, as part of ongoing efforts to boost Chinese tourist arrivals under a new visa-free travel scheme.
The Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Siem Reap provincial administration and the Chinese Embassy, said the "Cambodia-China International Street Art Performance" will take place on Mar. 21-22 in the popular Pub Street area.
The event will include joint performances and a parade, serving as a key activation for the "Cambodia-China Tourism Year" campaign, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday. A primary goal of the initiative is to promote a temporary visa exemption for Chinese passport holders.
Under the policy, which runs from June 15 to Oct. 15, 2026, Chinese nationals are permitted to stay in Cambodia for up to 14 days per entry. The four-month window is designed to stimulate a significant increase in tourist flow from China to Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder.
Authorities are calling on tourism associations, private sector stakeholders, and media to actively promote and participate in the weekend event to maximise its reach.
