Cambodian NA President Meets Iranian Ambassador to Discuss Cooperation Expansion

Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia, received a courtesy call from H.E. Ali Akbar Nazari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Cambodia, at the NA Palace here this morning.
The meeting touched on the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the two countries, particularly between their legislative bodies.
H.E. Ali Akbar Nazari expressed his strong commitment to tightening the ties of friendship between Cambodia and Iran for the interests of both countries and their peoples.
The Hanoi-based diplomat sought continued support from the Cambodian NA president to his current missions with Cambodian ministries and institutions in the fields of trade, economy, petroleum, gas, and health, etc.
For her part, Samdech Khuon Sudary said that the two countries still have many potentials to be explored and studied to expand their cooperation. The good cooperation between Cambodia and Iran not only brings benefits to both nations, but also makes important contributions to building peace, sustainable development, and prosperity for humanity while the world situation is currently in a fragile state, changing rapidly, and threatening the peace and development of people around the world.
Besides, the NA president and the ambassador agreed on the value of parliamentary diplomacy, emphasising that parliamentary diplomacy is increasingly important in maintaining peace and meeting the aspirations of the people.
